Crash Taylor interviews Heather Cole

This week I well-received Heather Cole. I got to know Heather through the blogging give birth to.  She is an excellent photographer who thrives on taking the still portrait to the next level. I love her blog; it always inspires me when I stop by to elucidation on her awesome photos. Enjoy the interview and remember to vacation a comment when you’re done. You know how us photographers love comments. I definitely hope you’re learning something from these interviews and they’re making you mark outside the box in your own image making.  See you next week for another lallapalooza interview.

Hi Heather,

Tell us a little bit about yourself – Born and raised in Kansas Diocese, I’m a wife to my high school sweetheart Jake, and a nurse to my beautiful daughter, Olivia. Started this company in the basement of my dwelling and now 4 years later, I have a successful photography business with a studio and man Friday full time photographer.

Where is home? Kansas City, Missouri.

Did you go to instil to study photography? I’m completely self-taught which I like I suppose gives me an advantage because I’m not taught to think a certain way.

How eat one's heart out have you been a photographer? Professionally 4 years.

How would you describe your style? I love this without question because there are so many different styles to my photography. For my high school seniors I cogitate on VERY OUTSIDE the box. Nothing indoors, all outdoors and all of them very much structured around who they are as a person. To me each and every older I shoot is like I’m shooting for a magazine. Each one is completely singular than the other. For my weddings you can describe them as emotional, intimate, and sexy.  For my promise session I want you to see connection. Capturing two people in sweet on camera is almost a drug to me. Literally I’m on a high when I get that shot that critically gives me chills. Connection is such a beautiful thing to see. So to surrejoinder your question, I have a lot of different styles. It just depends on what I’m shooting.

A Nikon D3 narcotic addict opinion and review by Andy Rouse, a former Canon shooter

Andy Prompt is a highly-acclaimed wildlife photographer who used Canon materiel in the past, but made the jump to Nikon, sold off all his Canon equipment in the manage, and bought the Nikon D3.

Read the interview conducted by Lightroom-Word.com, where Andy says:

Simply because the D3 is the tool that I need to do the job. It’s autofocus is believable, high ISO performance incredible and the images are ready to go almost simply from the camera. In fact my workflow time has been reduced and I regard that my work is now of a slightly higher quality. So it was a pure proprietorship decision that was incredibly hard to make and has so far cost me 15k in new apparatus. Contrary to the silly rumours on the internet, Nikon have not paid me to interchange and they have not given me any discount on gear, they have played it cool and I propose b assess that was the right thing to do.

Andy's full Nikon D3 review is here. He also wrote a inspect of the Canon 1D Mark III, the last Canon camera that he used before switching to Nikon.

One of his most talked-about open fire with the D3 was on the mountain gorillas in Rwanda.

Do visit his blog to feeling more of his photos and read about his work.

Miscellaneous A very positive D3 buffer upgrade communication. Robert Hanashiro switched to the Nikon D3 from Canon. Rod Mar of The Seattle Times, a Canon operator says ... "The D3, quite frankly, is a wonderful camera". He brought both Canon and Nikon accouterments to the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. He's posted up totally a number of photos shot with the D3 (here, here, and here)...

Neighbourhood (Barrio)

Wiki says: "Neighbourhoods are unexceptional, and perhaps close to universal, since most people in urbanised areas would doubtlessly consider themselves to be living in one."

Ice Cube said: "Plus nobody I be sure got killed in South Central L.A. Today was a good day". Actor and cloud director Mathieu Kassovitz said in an interview published by Sentiment Reviews (author Ryan Deussing) that "hood films now are made by studios and have nothing to do with the authenticity they supposedly represent."

And what about the fancy neighbourhoods? What´s their story? Are we in a slump or a depression? How does that affect the fancy neighbourhoods - if not at all? I am very prying.

I think it is an essential subject to deal with. For better or worse, the precincts where you live or used to live is unlikely to leave you indifferent. So take the call into doubt and share your interpretation of "the neighbourhood" with 591.

Viktor Gårdsäter introduces this text with some pictures from his neigbourhood "Söder" in Stockholm.

ColorRight MAX Review

ColorRight Max Critique

by Jamie Roberts

Overview

I think the ColorRight Max is imposing.

You might not want to read the review here in detail, so let me say that though I've bought and used a WhiBal, a GM color checker, a join of ExpoDiscs, and the original ColorRight, this new Max is the one to have in your bag, IMO.

The system Drew and team have developed gives very kindly to excellent results with a single click. It really is as cosy as:getting the skin density right with exposure WB clicking on a indication patch on the ColorRight copying the results to however many shots you took in the same (or equivalent) light Is it always exactly right? No--but it's miles and miles at the of anything else out there, including custom grays and other "neutral" devices.

Drawbacks? Well, I'm attractive jaded on these things, and shooting a wedding is always, um, busy So it stayed in the bag more than it should have; I already have two cameras around my neck so the ColorRight Max was out of the way.

That's my misjudgement. I could have, and should have (and finally did, as you'll see), pull out the CR Max and take shots "post" authentic shots and then use those as a reference.

So if you don't want to read on, just take this as my absolute support for the product!

The ColorRight Max is an excellent investment and you don't have to be informed how it works to make it work well.

Background

Ok, so here's some more in-depth substance on the ColorRight Max...

From what I've seen, now, ColorRight max is the first and only tool that lets you get painstaking--if not exactly on--excellent skin tones with a single click. I didn't reflect on that was possible,...
