New Kowa Genesis 33

Another new optical catalyst on display at the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival is the latest too to the Kowa Genesis binocular family - the Genesis 33. Smaller and lighter than the source Genesis 44 (the 8x model of the 33 is reported to be a only 21 ounces), this new model incorporates a "butterfly suspend focus" distance of 1.5 meters with a generous land of view (8 degrees in the 8x model) to provide a high-minded mid-sized and highly adaptable binocular for the birders, butterfly watchers, or comprehensive naturalists. I'll be looking forward to testing and reviewing it in greater detail in the next-door future.

Kowa Highlander Binoculars

Well they have in the long run been put through the test for the last two months! My hunting partner Darr Colburn and I have been comparing our Doctor 40X's to our Kowa Highlanders 32X. The Kowa's definately win in all aspects of the juxtaposition. The clarity of the Kowa's is unbelievable. The Docters are clear in the center but the Kowa's are free all around the edges and the center. The Kowas come with 32X eyepieces but you can also buy the 20X and 50X eyepieces. The 32X lenses are the greatest lenses of that magnification that I have ever looked through. The pair that we purchased also has the Flourite lenses. I have not looked through the systematic lenses but am very impressed with the Flourite. The Kowas can be purchased exclusively through the Outdoorsmans in Phoenix. (http://www.outdoorsmans.com/). Darr and I experience that these new Kowa's will be an integral part of our Coues Deer and Mule Deer glassing good in the future.
